But not all playlists are meant to last forever. Perhaps the mood has passed, or a user simply isn’t into one or more of the bands any longer. Fortunately, just like creating the playlist, deleting it is just as simple. The steps are relatively straightforward, regardless of the platform a user may be on, and the deletion will carry across the entirety of the user’s account. So deleting a playlist on mobile will also see its removal on desktop.

Deleting Spotify Playlist on Desktop
With Spotify open on desktop, there are two ways to access playlists. The first is the column on the left. Playlists will appear below “Create Playlist” and “Liked Songs.” Otherwise, users can access them by selecting “Your Library” and then “Playlists.” Once the list of playlists is open, right-click the playlist and select “Delete.”
Mobile
The process for deleting a playlist on mobile is just as simple as it is on desktop. Select “Your Library” and then “Playlists.” Then tap and hold on the playlist in question and select “Delete Playlist.”
Unfollowing a Playlist
One thing to remember is that users cannot delete playlists that they haven’t created. To remove playlists created by other users, tap or click the green heart icon on the playlist. This will unfollow it and remove it from the user’s library.
