If your preferences change, you have privacy concerns, or you want to remove your list of frequently visited sites and start fresh, it’s easy to delete your most visited sites in Safari and Chrome.
Delete Frequently Visited Sites in Safari on an iPhone
In Safari, icons for sites you visit often appear under the Frequently Visited heading when you open a new tab. It’s easy to delete these sites one at a time.
Open Safari on your iPhone and open a new tab. You’ll see a Favorites heading and a Frequently Visited heading. To remove a site from your Frequently Visited list, tap and hold the site’s icon. Tap Delete on the pop-up menu. The site is removed from your Frequently Visited list.
How to Disable Frequently Visited Sites in Safari
Stop any new sites from appearing in your Frequently Visited list of the Safari browser by disabling the feature.
Go to Settings > Safari. Tap the Frequently Visited Sites toggle so that it turns from green (enabled) to white (disabled). Repeat these steps to re-enable this functionality at any time.
Delete Frequently Visited Sites in Chrome on an iPhone
On an iPhone, Chrome displays your most-visited sites below the search bar on a new tab.
Open Chrome on your iPhone and open a new tab. Tap and hold the icon of the site you want to remove. Select Remove. The site’s icon is removed from your most-visited sites.
